Grey Hawk at Lake Polo is accessed from SR-54 and is nicely positioned close to the Suncoast Expressway (Hwy-589), I-75 and US 19. In talking with residents, I hear of the many enjoyable things about the community, including the convenience of the location with a fast commute to Tampa, and the Tampa International Airport.
When it's finished, the developer of Grey Hawk tells me it will have a total of 230-260 single family homes when complete. It now includes a manned security gate, conservation areas, nature trails, fishing pier and boat ramp on Lake Polo, tropical waterfall, butterfly garden, well-lit tennis and basketball court, sand volley ball court, playground for kids and even a separate dog park.
Grey Hawk at Lake Polo has a family-type atmosphere with the feel of a quaint small town. Grey hawk offers family activities such as this year’s Easter egg hunt. Participates dropped off candy-filled eggs and coffee/muffin money at one neighbor’s home. It was a nice way to meet your neighbors!
The community hosts regular family and resident oriented activities. Residents frequently tell me they appreciate the activities for all lages, and everyone feels included,
Directions to Grey Hawk
From Downtown Tampa:
- Veterans Expressway North Exit on State Rd 54 – Left at the light (west) ½ mile – Turn left into Grey Hawk.
- From Brandon: I-75 North and exit at State Road 56 – Turn left at light heading west – Approximately 20 minutes to Grey Hawk.
From Clearwater:
- Highway 60 east to the Veteran’s Expressway – Veterans Expressway North Exit on State Rd 54 – Left at the light ½ mile – Turn left into Grey Hawk.
- From US 19: East on State Road 54 – Turn right into Grey Hawk before reaching Veterans Expressway.
